I am a HUGE HUGE FAN of oatmeal. There are so many ways in which you can prepare them that there is no way you could ever get bored. If you are thinking “mmm.. I don’t really like oatmeal…” it is because you have probably never prepared it the right way!
Here is my recipe for the perfect breakfast:
- 1 cup oatmeal
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup almond or coconut milk
- ½ tbsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon powder
- ¼ chopped walnuts
- ½ cup blueberries
- ½ cup strawberries
- honey to taste
- 1. In medium saucepan bring two cups of water to a boil. Lower the heat and add the oats, vanilla extract, cinnamon and milk.
- 2. Cooked for 10 to 15 minutes stirring frequently.
- 3. Transfer into a bowl and add the walnuts, cranberries, strawberries and honey.
