Salmon Tartar with Avocado

A few days ago I was in Mexico and I had the opportunity to teach a healthy cooking workshop. Everything turned out really nicely and everyone enjoyed both the class and all the food we prepared.
Every day I realize more and more how much I like cooking, but what I enjoy even more is being able to share this with others.

One of my favorite recipes of the workshop was salmon tartar with avocado. It is not only very easy to prepare (by now you have probably realized when it comes to cooking I am all about quick and easy to follow), it is also ideal to prepare when you have a lot of guests and you only want to offer small bites.

Yield: 4-6 servings


  • 450 gr. fresh salmon filet, diced
  • 2 tsp. finely chopped chives
  • 1 tsp. soy
  • ½ tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 avocado, diced
  • one fresh lemon juice
  • Sea salt

To serve:

  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • 1 scallion
  • Sesame seeds, optional


  • 1. In a medium bowl , mix salmon, scallions, soy sauce and sesame oil.
  • 2. In a small bowl, gently mix diced avocado, lemon juice and salt to taste.

To serve:

  • 1. Serves a spoonful of tartar salmon on a slice of cucumber, then covered with a little chopped avocado.
  • 2. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and scallions.
